Hi all,

A 2×2 mosaic of the large supernova remnant CTB-1 has been uploaded. This SNR has e very curious pulsar. For decades, there was no detection of it. About seven years ago (2018), a pulsar was proposed as the remains of the star that exploded to originate CTB-1 and one year later, that pulsar was confirmed. The pulsar is one of the so called “cannonball” pulsars, showing a tremendous speed. Details about it and the final mosaic can be found in the link below. This image belongs to the recently compilated collection of the 87 scientifically interesting objects posted recently.
