Hi all,
Being one of the Markarian Chain galaxies, NGC 4438 is close and “interconnected” with M86 over a very faint Hydrogen cloud that is the result of huge clouds of Hydrogen being stripped from NGC 4438 by M86 after a gravitational encounter. Over 65 hours of exposure, nearly 40 hours of it being taken with an Halpha filter, have been needed to get this image. You can see it at:
