This is a 1×2 mosaic that includes the previous version of NGC 3372, found here (left half) and a beautiful image of Wolf-Rayet 22 (WR22), taken by Don Goldman at the same telescope (right half). The image of the nebula, taken only with narrowband filters (RGB has been only used to grab the stars) has been processed using the color palette that reproduces the spectrum of the nebula. This color should be, then, very close to its natural color. The Wolf Rayet stars are massive stars that are perfect candidates for a supernova explosion soon (cosmologically speaking…). WR22 is the bright bluish star at the center of the right half.
