NGC 3372, the Eta Carinae Nebula is very well known as a stellar nursery. This fragment, taken a year ago (February 2017), was intended to be part of the 2×2 mosaic started with the first 2×1 mosaic found here. A wrong rotation angle prevented important regions of this frame to be in the final mosaic, and the mosaic was never finalized. Anyhow, this image is beautiful and interesting enough in itself. This region is located just South of the main star giving its name to the Nebula (Eta Carinae). The Southern tip of the triangular-shaped nebula containing Eta Carinae can be seen at the top center. One of the typical outcomes of a star-birth region is the presence of YSOs (Young Stellar Objects) as well as of HHs (Herbig-Haro objects). This image includes as many as ten Herbig Haro objects and countless YSOs. In the below included annotated image, all ten HHs are identified. The fact that it has been processed in false color, according to the Hubble Color Palette (HCP), allows for clear distinction of the different chemical compositions across the nebulosity. Several dark (dusty) nebulosities, gas jets as well as wisps of different composition can also be seen.
