Messier 70 (M70), is a globular cluster located at about 29,500 light years, in the constellation Sagittarius. The main characteristic of this cluster is that it underwent a core collapse (like M15, M30, M62 and M79), and therefore has a notably dense core. As a cluster, M70 is not one of the “big ones”. It has about 75,000 stars (Mass about 150,000 solar masses) compared to M13 with 300,000 stars.
