Messier 25 is a rather large open cluster, with over 600 stars and is 90 million years old, what makes M25 an old open cluster. It is located 2,000 light years from our Sun in the “Messier-rich” constellation Sagittarius. It spans about 32 arcmin, what makes it one of the largest open clusters in the Messier catalog (although still smaller than M44 or M45.
