Gum 10 is an often overlooked nebula. Being quite isolated in an otherwise quite dull region, Gum is part of a giant molecular cloud (with approximately about 200,000 solar masses) and related to the O7f III giant star HD 69464 (the bright blue star near the upper center. The red star in the lower center is HD 69511 and the yellow-orange star close to the upper right border is HD 69280.
