M52 is located in Cassiopeia at nearly 5,000 light years from us. M52 is a very rich open cluster, mainly populated by yellow F stars, it also contains some blue stars. The Cave Nebula (Sh2-155, Caldwell 9) and the Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) are located very close to M52, but outside this frame.
