Messier 16, a new, wider view

Hi all,

A new, wider view of Messier 16, The Eagle Nebula, has been added to the web site. It is an image taken in narrowband and enriched by blending the core region with a previous higher resolution image taken with the 20″.

This image is part of a series of wide field images blended with previously taken high resolution images. The first one has been M8-M2-IC4685 (selected as today’s APOD) and the next one will be M17. You can find M16 at:

Enjoy!
