Hi all,
This is the third Messier galaxy that is uploaded today. This time, M106 in on stage. This galaxy has somw peculiarities. It has not one, but two sets of arms. One with stars (as usual) and the second set of arms with hot gas. Another peculiarity is the existence of a water megamaser at its central ring. This has allowed the cosmologists to determine, with good precision, our distance to M106.
