Hi all,
Already some months ago, I thought that the existing version of NGC 346 had to be reviewed/improved. The new version is ready and has been uploaded. New versions will be restricted and I have plans for only one more: N206. Located at:

Hi all!
A new image has been uploaded! This time, it concerns M20, the Trifid Nebula. There was already another image of M20 in the web site, but this one has a couple of characteristics that might improve the previous one. Firstly, it is mainly a narrowband image (compared to the usual LRGB images of this object), and secondly, in order to get a more “real-natural” image, broadband Blue images have been blended with the OIII frames, in an attempt to capture all blue nebular wisps. The narrowband filters allow for a better contrast/resolution. Judge for yourselves:

Hi all,
A new image has been uploaded! This time, another globular cluster (taken when the Moon was full and too close to the nebulae I was imaging…). This image has been taken in HDR (more info in the web site) in order to capture individual stars down to the center of the cluster. It can be found at:

Hi all,
The same way that I have reprocessed the previously sent M27, I have also taken care that the “Silver Dollar” galaxy, NGC 253, gets a new face. I have reprocessed the same subframes, but in a less aggressive way. The result is at:
Enjoy,

Hi all,
A reprocessed version of M 27 (taken with the astounding Schulman Telescope, 32″) has been uploaded. This version has been reprocessed giving a higher importance to the RGB and a bit (just a bit…) less to the H alpha. The same subframes have been used and it is only a very different way of interpreting the image. I think it is worth to give a look at it:

Hi all,
Sorry, but I forgot to include the link to the page where M16 is located. Here it goes:
M 16. NGC 6611. The Eagle nebula

A new image, this time the Eagle nebula, M16, has been uploaded. It is a narrowband image and has been processed, as usual, in the color palette that reconstructs the visible spectrum of this nebula. A mention of and comparison with (only color-wise, not resolution-wise!!) the famous Hubble Pillars of Creation is also added.
Enjoy!!

Hi all,
A wonderful nebula has been uploaded. NGC 3576 is an emission nebula in the constellation Carina. This image has been taken in narrowband (Ha, OIII and SII), by my telescope partner Don Goldman, whom I am thankful for allowing me to use and process this image. The processing has been, as usual, trying to reproduce the original visible spectrum of this nebula. More about it here:
NGC 3576, the Statue of Liberty Nebula
Enjoy,

Hi all,
This image breaks a tradition in the latest images I have posted: it is not a Nebula!! NGC 4833 is a globular cluster that is considered to be one of the oldest globulars in our galaxy. It is considered to be older than M 5, itself about 13 billion years old!. You can find it at:
Enjoy!

PS: the next image will be again a nebula… promised! even very probably a 1×2 mosaic…
